Dawn dish-washing detergent works like a charm!
try baby powder, lip gloss is oily and baby powder will soak it out, then re wash
washing up liquid rubbed into the lippy to break up the oil then re wash
lets just say tide to go pen is my best friend when i put on my makeupwrinkles cream

Well... .if it wasn't making a humming noise, I would have said it was a bad lid switch, but the humming noise says that either your motor is seized, you sucked something into your pump, your transmission is seized, or there's something wrong with your basket drive.

How can you tell the bearings have gone in your washer machine?
If a washing machine is rumbling, and very noisy on spin, the main suspect is the drum bearings. Drum bearing failure is common on many washing machines due to water getting into them if the drum bearing seal fails. (Hotpoint and Zanussi in particular in my experience) To check for drum bearing failure you can take the belt off and spin the drum by hand. If the drum rumbles when spun then the bearings may have gone. There should be a constant rumble all the time the drum is revolving.
Another drum bearing failure symptom is excessive up and down play in the drum which can be checked for by lifting the drum up and down from the drum lip behind the door seal. A further symptom of drum bearing failure can be a brown rust patch underneath the washing machine and down the back of the outer drum, underneath the drum pulley (where the belt goes) although this patch is not always present. There are usually two small holes at the back of the drum bearings where water that has got past the drum bearing seal trickles out, and it's usually stained with grease and rust if water has got into the bearings.How can you tell the bearings have gone in your washer machine?
It wont be a cheap job to replace the bearings.It'll cost more in labour,the parts are only about 拢20.I've done 2 machines myself,both Hotpoint.You also need the right tools,because the hardest part can be removing the old bearings,also,how much of the machine you have to take apart to remove inner drum before you can remove the old bearings.Then when your done,put it back together,you could have a leak,then what do you do?Start again.How can you tell the bearings have gone in your washer machine?

Buy a new one. Last time I had a man coming to my home for an ';estimate only'; (he had to see what was broken first and how much it was gonna cost me to fix it) I paid 250 dollars ! Yep, Manhattan prices plus, the piece that needed to be replaced, was gonna cost me 350. I have a GE washer that's around 2 years old. It will no longer agitate, however it will fill, drain and spin
When it gets to the point in the cycle when it should agitate it just sits there. You can hear the motor but it won't even move the timer-it doesn't progress through that part of the cycle unless I manually move the knob.
