The Roper line of washer/dryers made by Whirlpool are inexpensive, but they also have the highest reliability ratings as measured by Consumer Reports.
We own a set, and have beat on them for over a decade with minimal problems.

Btw, if you happen to be in Indiana, they are for sale cheap. The dryer is gas. When we bought our new condo, it came with a washer/dryer, and there was no gas hookup.Can you recomend a decent washer/dryer for a rental property?

I have had my Hotpoint Aquarius for 8 yrs
used every day sometimes twice a day
soft water in this area might help too.
