The inrush on your washer is more than the generator can supply at it's peak voltage so the voltage drops, the current goes up and the breaker trips. Get a better washer and a larger generator.

I have brought a 2800W generator to run a karcher K385 pressure washer but it keep triping the breaker. HELP?
i brought the generator yesterday and was told it would run the jetwasher as it is only a 1700W but everytime i try to use it the breaker switch on the gen trips and cuts out. yeh i have a 2000W hover that runs fine on the generator. i have recently started up doing mobile car valleting so need to get this sorted asap. any help greatly appreciatedI have brought a 2800W generator to run a karcher K385 pressure washer but it keep triping the breaker.
