Hi,

This one is easy to answer.

Sikaflex.

Use sikaflex EVERY time!

Do not bother with anything else.

Any yachtsman will back this up, we trust our lives to it.

Keel bolts, through hull fittings, deck fittings, self steering systems, cleats - all fitted with sikaflex.

Available in tubes at all chandlery's.

Best regards,

Geoff

urethane sealant such as sikaflex 291 will fix your problem.

Just seal in and around the hole and tighten your stainless nut and washer down on it.

tidy up excess wit turps

Its also used to bed keels to the hull
to get Wright answer to your question go on web you will get a lot of stupid answers on here,Hope this helps you.
My dad says you want top use ';buna-N'; type natural latex rubber - what ever THAT means!
Ask the editor of the Daily Mail: hate and fear spurts from every page of this vile **** rag, feverishly gripped in a permanent state of outrage about, well, everything.
